At Carousel Dental we aim to provide a comprehensive service to our patients. Muscle relaxant, Dermal fillers and Threading to the supporting muscles of the face and jaw have been incorporated as part of the practice by Dr Anis Fadzil since 2014. She is fully trained by Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics and regularly updates her training with the latest on-trend procedures.
Muscle Relaxant (aka Botox)
The conventional use of muscle relaxant is to eliminate tension type headaches and to minimise the effects of bruxing and/or clenching, which is often used in conjunction with a night guard/splint.
The use of muscle relaxant (ie botox, dysport etc) however is not only limited to this therapeutic use. We are now able to provide the use of muscle relaxant to minimise the effects of aging to the face, which most people know this simply as botox. The most common areas of treatment are glabella (between the eyes), forehead, eyes, lips, chin, jaw & neck.
Dermal Fillers and More
Ageing will result in the loss of support to our facial structure. Where once in our youthful days, the skin feels tight and lines were minimal, the effects of aging might be too soon than our minds are prepared for.
Dermal Fillers are used to restore the sagging skin by recreating the support to the facial features. Most common areas that benefits from this treatment are tear troughs, cheeks, lips & chin to name a few.
Other services that we provide to restore the face and rejuvenate the skin are Venepuncture, Mono Threads for skin rejuvenation and Cog Threads for lifting mild to moderate sagging skin. Using the Phi Beauty Concept, we are able to achieve a more natural look to soften the lines and to restore proportion to the face which will give you a more youthful look. Contact the surgery for a complete facial assessment.
Cosmetic Dentistry Veneers
Manufactured from medical-grade ceramic, dental veneers are made individually for each patient to resemble your natural teeth. They look extremely realistic and can resolve other cosmetic issues, from crooked teeth, cracked or damaged enamel to noticeable gaps. We will always ensure a close match to the natural colour of your teeth, so you can look forward to a seamless smile once the veneers are attached.
The process involves preparing your tooth or teeth for the veneers at the first appointment and colour matching the veneers with your natural teeth. Then we will fit the veneers with a special adhesive at your second appointment.
Cosmetic Teeth Whitening
Over time, teeth become stained and worn from food, drinks, medication, smoking etc, which is why teeth whitening is a great simple choice to boost your confidence. The procedure involves preparing your teeth for the treatment and protecting your gums, lips and skin before applying the whitening gel. Using a laser light, the gel works gently on the tooth enamel, penetrating the top layers and removing the discolouration.
The entire process lasts for about an hour and once completed, your teeth will be cleaned and you can enjoy your new smile!
Cosmetic Dental Implants
Cosmetic dental implants are used to replace lost teeth and are almost impossible to distinguish from your natural teeth, and once the bone and supporting tissue fuse to the implant, they are permanently secured into place. The dental implant process involves:
– Cleaning the existing tooth/teeth socket(s) to prepare for the implants
– Inserting a titanium screw into the jawbone
– Attaching a crown to the titanium screw protecting the gum giving a natural looking smile
